Is there an FYI / "common questions" section around?

Possibly transplanting to HOU from NYC for work. And I don't want to be the thousandth person to post with "Ayyy so where are the good places to live / buy records / see shows / road bike / blah blah blah". So if I missed it – can anyone point me in the right direction?
