Is there a resource for finding day labor/ temporary gig work in Houston?

I looked at the classifieds subreddit but didn't see anything similar there, and the vast majority of things on Craigslist are scams. I'm killing time until I move in two weeks and was hoping to find some good honest work until then. Any good websites or apps or offices to go to? Thanks!
