Is the Legacy Village Community near the beltway 8 a safe area?

There’s a new development community called legacy village that’s offering pretty nice homes and deals but just worried about the immediate surrounding area. It’s pretty close to the 8 and pearland shopping area about 6 miles but after driving around the community it seems mixed. Just need some better reviews as I’m seeing mixed things everywhere
