Is Spring Texas a good area to purchase a home?

With the current housing market it seems like only couple of areas are affordable for most including me. I’m a single male and I work remote so living further out of Houston isn’t the biggest issue.

I currently live in clear lake and all the homes that are affordable were built in the 70s.

What are other areas that are safe and affordable?
