Is Pima Medical Institute a good choice to become a Sonographer?
Hello, posting here because we are located in the Houston area.
My girlfriend is interested in becoming a sonographer. She currently holds her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and is a pharmacy technician, a job she can't wait to get out of. She has applied and gotten accepted into Pima Medical Institute for their program in sonography.
I didn't want to interfere in the beginning, but the more I google and search reddit about PMI, the less appealing it seems to be. She is very excited but I really don't want her to waste her time and money if the school won't help her achieve her goals. She's very bright (very good GPA from University of Houston) and also wants to earn while she studies. She gravitated towards PMI because they claim she will be able to take classes without having to attend school from 8am-5pm, so that she may also work at the concurrently, as her superiors at work allow her schedule to be flexible.
Am I worried for no reason? Are there other programs someone here recommends?
