is my energy bill unusually high?

sorry, i don’t know where else to ask this!

i live by myself in a 950 sq ft 1bd1ba, second story apartment unit. my energy bill is coming out to about $130ish every month, but i don’t know enough to be certain if that’s absurdly high, and what i should have maintenance look into if it is.

factors worth noting:

  • TXU energy clear deal 12 month plan, 16.5¢/kWh on average. last bill was $134 for 792kWh.
  • i’m gone for 8 hours a day usually at least 2-3 days a week, and don’t really use a lot of energy when i’m home since i usually stick to my bedroom and keep my lights in all my other rooms off.
  • in the summer the vast majority of my energy usage was cooling, and now it’s the water heater at 38%. i only wash my clothes on cold, use the dishwasher about twice a month, my showers are maybe about 15 minutes max on average and i do skip days now and then since i don’t always leave the house. i do NOT use hot water practically ever unless it’s to shower or for the dish washer.
  • the weather stripping on the doors of my apartment is worn down. i tried to make them replace it in the summer because my bill was coming out to $170 consistently, but they just ended up slightly readjusting them and it worked for a bit. now i can once again feel a draft from my front door even when it’s fully locked (and you can see bits of light lol).
  • appliances is my second highest factor at 27%. i leave my TV on when i’m out because my older cat freaks out if it’s too quiet, and i leave my gaming PC on but usually not actually doing anything except running a plex server since i don’t play games much anymore. ETA: actually i don’t think either of these factor into the appliance usage since there’s a separate home electronics category, my bad.

i plan on going down to the leasing office on monday and demanding they actually replace the strips this time, but is my bill high all things considered? is there anything else i should ask maintenance to do/check out?

thank you in advance.
