Is Montrose in the midst of a development renaissance?

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen this many razed lots in a Houston neighborhood that were getting ready to be redeveloped.

Disco Kroger lot, Half Priced Books lot, Bacco Wine lot, Snap Kitchen lot, Georgia James lot, Hay Merchant lot, Menil lot where they’re getting ready to build a boutique hotel, Covenant House lot, 4205 Woodhead lot, 1503 Westheimer lot, Montrose Automotive lot where they’re constructing Clark’s Oyster Bar, 4500 Montrose lot (formerly Kam’s Chinese; not razed but vacant), the list is endless…
