Is Memorial Park safe in terms of dogs?

Hey guys,

I live near Memorial Park but rarely ever go. I am thinking of making it a routine to walk and get my steps in, etc. I am just wondering about the animals – are there a lot of cases with people walking unleashed dogs? Are pit bulls common? Do you think the morning times are usually safe? I am asking for safety and religious reasons (dog saliva is impure) don’t really want a dog running up on me, etc. haha
