Is it safe to carry cash through TSA at IAH?

Will be traveling with some cash on hand because I am part of a credit union that is only in Houston. I plan to bring several hundred and hope TSA in IAH isn't scummy and pockets my money. Has anyone had good or at least passable experiences with them?
