Is Houston getting trashier?

As a second generation native Houstonian I’ve noticed a significant shift in attitudes and carelessness from others. People just do not give a flying f about their surroundings. People leaving their trash on tables of coffee shops, as though they couldn’t be bothered to carry it 20 feet to the trash can. People playing loud ass stereos late at night on weekdays, waking everyone in residential streets up with their s**t can mufflers. People leaving heavy weights on gym equipment. People letting their dogs s**t freely on the sidewalk and neglecting to clean up. People driving like they live in a world of one. You get my drift?

Yes of course there have always been turds that do these things. But it’s gotten much worse. I can’t pinpoint if it’s been a gradual shift or if it’s gotten much worse post pandemic. So many Houstonians just lack basic house training it’s borderline depressing living here.
