Is HCAD’s phone number down?

I tried calling HCAD, using the number listed on their website and the number is no longer in service. Am I missing something?

I plan on making an appointment to visit in person and ask about the process for backdating a homestead exemption, but given there is no phone line and it looks like nearly all the appointment times on the website are available – – I am a little worried about their systems.
