Is Fuqua St Sketchy?

Went to go buy some snacks from Shell on Fuqua & Sabo (first time in the area) after sunset. One guy was just hanging around the door while another sat on the corner a few feet away. I didn't think much of it but as I turned off my car door guy said to sitting guy 'just one more', while jingling some coins. Seemed like an odd situation so I turned on my car & left while door guy & I just stared at eachother. Wasn't sure if he was just a begger but given that it was an empty lot at night, I didn't wanna find out.

Did I overreact or did I just dodge a bullet?
