Is anyone making money from Solar Panels? + Sunnova

Does anyone have solar and they are able to sell energy back into the electricity company? I have heard both that it is possible and not possible.

Does anyone also have experience working with Sunnova products? Recommendations or reviews?

I hear starting july 5th the interest rate for solar systems will go up. So trying to decide it its worth investing in solar before that.
