Is anyone concerned about the police openly saying they will not enforce an order by a judge
I’m looking at the bigger picture here, of course there will always be politics and disagreements within our government; but how can enforcers of the law openly state that they will not enforce a law?
Spare me the hostility because I too believe it’s a silly order and do not wish anyone jail time or a fine for not wearing a mask. But I am surprised that these government officials are putting there feelings and opinions above the law openly.
It’s similar to the sanctuary cities arguments with law enforcement agencies, if you believe that cops should enforce Trumps immigration policies then you should also believe that cops (in Harris county) should ticket those above 10 years old without a mask.
Once again for the record, I disagree with the mandatory mask but as a military vet I believe that the people have freedom but those that swore an oath to enforce the law should do so.
