Is anyone actually happy to be living here?

If you weren't tied down by things like money, family, career, etc. would you still be living in Houston? I've lived in Houston my whole life and I'm personally not a fan. The weather sucks, there's hurricanes and floods, the mosquitoes are horrible, it's an uber-car-centric city, the traffic is horrible. I can't imagine many people actually like it here. The only reason I live here is because I was birthed here against my will.
