Is a 5.5 hour international layover enough time to do anything in Houston or nearby?

I'm travelling from Canada to Gautemala in October, with a five and a half layover in Houston, at the George Bush International Airport. I'll be flying with only carry-on langauge. Wondering if IAH is out of the way or if it's close enough to anything that I'd have time to leave and come back?

I know my time frame doesn't give me much time to leave and come back and go through the motions again, but I figured I'd ask anyways, just in case.
