INTRODUCING: Ticket Discounts for r/Texans subscribers (Pilot)

Context

So a couple years back I had started some conversations with the Senior Media Manager on the Texans. He had an idea to try out fans of this sub getting tickets easily/cheaply. He ended up leaving the org and it fizzled out a bit, but the idea got brought back up when some of the new team reached out to me to start that conversation again

SO – what that means is that we have an opportunity to test this out and see if it is something that we would like to implement going forward. To start with we've got commitment of offering this up for both the Texans vs Browns and Texans vs Titans games on December 24th and December 31st respectively.

What do I get?

The offering here is the ability to purchase tickets directly at both a discounted flat rate, and with no additional fees. For the two games for which we are trying this out, the prices will start at around $60 (there were some as low as $38 initially, but those options have since sold).

Who is eligible?

Anyone who is a subscriber on r/texans can use this. You'll simply need to comment that you would like to take advantage, and you will get a custom link sent to select your spots and purchase the discounted tickets.

Notes

  • We will need to have confirmed interest in at least 15 tickets to get the link prepped for us

  • This is a pilot, and we will see if it is something the userbase here enjoys having and/or is truly valuable. If so, we hope to continue this through home games in the future.

  • These are not all in the same section, so if you are reluctant to spend a game in person with fellow redditors you need not worry. That being said – I personally think it would be neat to do a meetup of some sort some time

What do I need to do?

Comment in this post if you are interested in purchasing discounted/fee-less tickets for either the Browns or Titans game, and note which game (or both), as well as how many tickets in your comment. Once we have enough interest we will send a link where you can buy the tickets.
