Interning in Houston this summer, things to know?

Hey r/Houston!

I (21 M) will be living and working in Houston for my internship this summer and I am super excited to experience a new city. I’ll be living downtown on Main Street near the Central Business District.

I am interested in learning about some of the places that the locals think I need to check out while I am here. I love trying new restaurants, finding great places for craft cocktails, and fun nightlife venues, mostly edm shows and raves. Would also like to know what are some fun, unique things to do that I can only find in Houston. I don’t mind good commercialized places, but I would love to find some hidden gems while I am here this summer. Any recommendations that you all can give me will be greatly appreciated.
