Internet in Damon

I have the possibility to move out to Damon. Quite a bit away from Houston but also not too terribly far. If anyone has experience with living in this area, or areas with a similar distance from Houston. How troubling is the internet? I usually play competitive games and was wondering if I'd be able to get by out there with what's offered.
