International Affairs/ Geopolitics organization in the Houston Area

Hello Redditors just wanted to let y’all know of an International Relations related opportunity in Houston.

Our organization seeks to promote an understanding of the culture, politics, and economy of the world. To make Houston a more globally competent city. We have done events such as country seminars, trivia nights, youth-specific events, and foreign affairs-centered lectures. Most events minus maybe the networking dinners are entirely free. We have access to renowned speakers (Including Nikki Halley Jim Mattis, John Boehner, and more), engaging youth activities, and an extensive network of nonprofits and companies. Feel free to check out our website wachouston.org

If you are a student in the Houston area who is interested in International Relations or Model UN we have the student world affairs council, which is the student wing of our organization. You set up a chapter at your school (either as a standalone or you can make it an extension of your Model UN club), and we provide you with interactive activities and resources to increase your knowledge of International Affairs. In addition to this, we have quarterly Houston SWAC meetings, which make use of our high-quality speakers and workshops and allow students to network with other students interested in international relations. The Jesse H Jones Luncheon provides opportunities for students to network with powerful figures from the Houston area. As well as the Academic World Quest competition, which is a trivia competition centered around International Relations, whose winner gets an all-expense paid trip to DC.

If you have any questions or wish to set up a chapter, please email [education@wachouston.org](mailto:education@wachouston.org)

Please show this to anyone who might be interested in International Relations or geopolitics in the Houston area, I found out about his organization through Reddit and would love to pass the word.
