Interesting Free Agents?

We are 82 days away from this year’s draft, as of today, and the fandom is split on who to take when it hits. Some of us are of the opinion that we should draft a QB like Young or Stroud at 2, while some of us believe that building up the defense and looking for a QB next year is the way to go.

In the meantime, the Texans will likely be looking for free agents to add to the roster as well, building the team through two avenues. I personally am of the opinion that any FAs signed prior to the draft may be telling as to who Houston will be taking over the first couple of rounds (ie signing a D-Lineman would mean they’re likelier to draft a QB and vice versa).

This is a little bit of rambling to eventually get to the point, but there are plenty of FA’s on the open market this year, as there are every year, and Houston has about $40 million in cap space. We can certainly afford to sign a couple of guys with intent to fill holes, although we’d likely have to pay a premium to get guys on a rebuilding team.
