Inquiring for Registerer Nurse ICU Experience at TMC Hospitals

Hi all! I am a current RN hoping to gain some information on ICU’s in the TMC (Methodist, Memorial Hermann, Ben Taub, etc.). I have 1 year of Cardio/Thoracic IMU telemetry experience and am wondering if anyone worked at a TMC ICU and can speak to the unit culture at their hospitals? There’s so many ICU’s to choose from and I am trying to gain the experience necessary to help me decide on a grad school path down the road.

What kind of unit were you at (SICU, TICU, CVICU, MICU)? What did you like about it? What did you dislike? How were the benefits (PTO, medical, etc.)? How was leadership? Were yearly raises reasonable?

Lastly, any words of wisdom for someone embarking on this path?
