In town for a convention, need Airbnb recs

Me & a couple of friends are heading that way for a convention and need to book an Airbnb close to George r brown convention center. I’ve visited before and know a little about the areas but not enough to make a safe decision. What are some safe areas to look at for airbnbs near the convention center. I saw a few in south central/third ward but saw that it was near a place I’ve been to before that wasn’t necessarily the safest. If it was just me I wouldn’t mind but I’m trying to look out for the group.
