In home daycare for 1 child

Hi! I was wondering if I need a license to babysit a child about my son’s age, 1-year-old. It’d be my son plus another child and I figure this could be good for both my son and I. Are there any downsides to this as well? I haven’t started looking for another child yet! Thanks.
