I’m predicting a Deshaun extension gets done before Week 1.

Also I think that, like in the Tunsil situation, the player has all the leverage. Deshaun is going to get, mark my words, more $ per year than Mahomes’ new annual average salary on his contract. Doesn’t matter if Mahomes has an MVP, Super Bowl Ring, etc. Tunsil reset the market by so much that any reasonable fan can agree he was not proportionally THAT much better than the previously highest played OL. In these negotiations it comes down to leverage and how much the previous player at that position got payed. I don’t see that changing in this case. So many people online have said Deshaun isn’t going to be getting close to 50M’s. Trust me he will be getting more than Mahomes, and probably for the 3-4 year length he wants it. I think Lamar will be up there too. Dak is another story…
