I’m in Need of a Substitute Parental Figure

I'm a 22 year old guy, freshly moved to Houston from Seattle which has been challenging. I can't help but think that if I had adequate parental figures, my life would be so much easier. Don't get me wrong, I'm very independent, but there were certain things I feel that people should learn growing up that I didn't get the opportunity to having absent parents. I don't know how to drive or the first thing about cars really. I don't know any special skills like boating, hunting, or anything like that because my parents never had hobbies or activities that they introduced us to. I'm currently trying to support myself through online college for anthropology, but I'm having so much trouble supporting myself financially since I moved down here, despite having done extremely well up in Washington State. I just want a mentor, a supporter, a teacher. I'm tired of doing everything on my own
