if you’re going out to eat and don’t tip please just stay the f**k home.

i work as a server at a restaurant in the galleria area and worked the entire pandemic and honestly people have been sooo rude since places reopened. let me remind y’all that servers in texas only make $2.13 an hour and depend on tips just to get by. when y’all don’t tip it literally comes out of my pocket because i have to tip out the bar and the host and the bussers. so please if you’re going out to eat and don’t tip just do us all a favor and stay home if you can’t afford to tip on top of your meal. and before y’all start saying “WeLl TiP DePeNdS oN SeRViCe” because let’s face it, if you’re saying this you probably don’t tip that great anyway and let me remind y’all, we’re servers and not servants. were people just trying to make ends meet and trying to have a good time doing it. we don’t get paid enough to be run up and down to maybe get a 20% tip (standard)
