If you live in a glass-wall high rise facing south and/or west, is it super hot in the afternoons?

I've been looking at high-rise apartments and condos, all with floor to ceiling windows. If they face south and/or west, and you keep blinds or shades up, does it get super hot in the rooms in the afternoon? Thanks!
