If you grew up in Alief (or really the houston area in general) check out Mo on Netflix.

It’s based on the comedian Mo Amer’s life growing up in Alief. All of the Alief locations they film at and the Houston pop-culture they managed to fit in is super nostalgic as someone that grew up there. It’s actually a pretty good show to boot.
