If there was a cake decorating class that included dinner for 2, that was $60 what would you expect?

Ongoing discussion with me and a couple friends.

Local place offers a cake decorating class for 2 that includes dinner, access to a soda machine, complete with two bags of icing, fondant and a one layer cake all for $60.

The dinner is okay, it’s cheap and I equate it to what you’d eat at a church function. Mass produced, cheap and edible but far from gourmet.

They don’t give you instructions with the cake, but I consider it self explanatory. You get one bag without a tip and one with. And some cookie cutters along with fondant.

I say it’s supposed to be a fun date night, fairly cheap, thing. A friend of a friend went and she’s pretty upset. She expected the food to be better, more instructions with decorating, and just better quality stuff.

Our friend group is mixed, some think like me and some think it should’ve been better.

So fellow houstonians what do you guys think?

Fun date night activity? Or waste of money and time?

And to qualify my post, I’m not breaking rule 6. This place is here in the Houston area.
