If McCullers is truly injured and done for the season, wouldn’t Dusty put him on the injured list and bring up a pitcher from the taxi squad?

The only reason I can think of for McCullers to stay on the roster is if Dusty is holding on to a glimmer of hope that he could play in the WS. Is there another reason I'm missing? I know Soloman is young and limited experience, but he did well in his few appearances in the regular season if I remember correctly and could do multiple innings. Do you think Soloman has a shot at a roster spot if McCullers is truly out?
