IAH to League City

Hi all, i will be traveling to Houston soon to visit some family that lives in League City. I don’t want them to bother picking me up from the airport (IAH) as it seems quite far away. Google Maps is telling me that I could also do the trip with bus lines 102 and 249.

I am from Europe and taking busses for routes like this, is no big deal but I’d like to check with you, if this is also something doable in Houston, especially with a large suitcase.
