IAH Parking Situation

We're flying for the first time in two years next week. I recall reading some stuff about construction at IAH and how it's snarling traffic. Is this still a problem? Is the D/E garage still closed? Is it still a best bet to park in A/B and take the underground to check in? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
