IAH local transportation options?

Staying in Houston for a night, and wondering what (if any) options there are for getting around aside from renting a car. Metro routes don't run near my hotel, it'd be faster to walk. Any local bike rental companies, scooter rentals, etcetera near the airport? Any car sharing services (zipcar, etc)?
