IAH Hotels/parking

Good day. I have a 9:45AM flight to Mexico in December and will be driving over from Austin the day before…doing a Google search for a hotel nearby is a mix of sketchy reviews or seem hit or miss. Can anyone recommend a decent place for the night before?

Additionally, tho there is a Valet option at IAH at approximately $30/day, is it cheaper to use an off-site long term (7 days) parking lot with shuttle? Most don't list daily rates until mid thru booking process, none offer refund.
