Sincerely, an angry Houstonian with a loved one who needs electricity to live (medical equipment) but we have none.

This was a Cat1. They claimed to be prepared and later admitted they blew it by NOT CARING ENOUGH TO BE PREPARED. The people aren’t even trained! It’s summer in Houston, the heat advisory isn’t even a surprise, they could’ve seen this coming. 2 million people without power in triple digit humid weather because of negligence should be criminal. You all say to vote, and I do, and I vote, and I sign petitions and I do all the things. We should just turn to violence at this fucking point because they do not listen to us. People die every year because of their negligence. It doesn’t work in winter, it doesn’t work in summer, but they make millions and billions of profit annually.

It is obvious they do not see us as humans worth caring about. We are just profits. We suffer while they sleep in comfort.

For the rest of you, I hope you are all safe and all your loved ones are too and we get through this no power + heat.

P.S: We ought to learn from the French. They’re really good at saying f**k you to their government when they’re upset.
