I was walking my golden retriever earlier and she was bitten by a loose pit bull. Please keep all aggressive animals on leash.

I was quietly walking my dog after work today and an irresponsible owner who left their dog outside while having a broken slat in their fence wasn't attending to their dog and it was able to break free and attack my dog in a common green space area and almost maimed her until I was able to intervene. Thankfully animal control was responsive and was able to obtain the pit bull and they will be putting it down this week. If your dog isn't trained or is an aggresive breed please don't let it off leash as you are serving a harm to the public and to other dog owners.
