I want to go to the pride parade but I know nothing about it

I am trying to find out information about the pride parade happening on Saturday but I have never been to one or even looked it up before.

can someone tell me how it's like, how do I enter, what I need, and other stuff like that? Do I need to buy tickets? Will there be food? everything. I want to support my friends who are lgbtq and as a straight man, I feel like it would be good for me to expose myself to more of pride
