I think the Astros have 2 more seasons of contention in them to at least make a run at the division. After that, it will be time for a full rebuild. 5 years of rebuilding for 15 years of contention is a great deal.

It’s not my team, but I think the Astros should go all in for the next two years, signing 2-3 year deals and trading any prospect that’s needed. Hopefully the team wins makes the playoffs twice.

After that, there won’t be much left other than Altuve’s contract and the hope he gets to 3000. Personally, I think most astros fans will endure a rebuild. I don’t want to watch the team become a perennial 75-80 win team.
