I think Hunter Brown is affected by my relationship.

Since even before he came up, I've been a fan of Hunter Brown. I saw him pitch against Albuquerque and knew he was the second coming of pitching Jesus. When he got called up, I was such a big fan I bought a hoodie with his number and name on it. I then bought a second one for my uncle but then it found its way back to me.

Here's where Hunter Brown's performance this year comes in I met my girlfriend in College, and she subsequently absconded with my HB hoodie this season. To start out the year he had a torrid start. Pitching uncharacteristically bad, rarely making it past the 6th inning.

That was, until May 22nd, coincidentally the same day we said goodbye and went long distance. Throughout June, Brown looked like a man on a mission. Adding the sinker he looked like the prime JV he always could be. But then, the week of July 4th, my Girlfriend and I met up again, and Brown tanked. Giving up 7 earned runs to the third place Rangers, Brown looked like the demons he had previously exorcised had fled the pigs and were heading straight for him.

But luckily for him, we're back on separate sides of the country so he can return to form and take first place from the Mariners.
