I seem to have an armadillo problem

I’ve trapped and removed one. But the keep getting into my garden. They mess up my herbs and tomatoes and radishes.

I looked online and that’s not even what they are supposed to eat

They aren’t fast. I can definitely chase one down as they waddle away. But how can I prevent this ? I don’t want to shoot the little idiots. I do not want to poison them

Is there a repellent than works? And if not. If I maybe shot one and put its body on a stake or something. Will the others f**k off ?

as a side note. I’ve caugher and released maybe 5 raccoons and a dozen possum. Peanut butter and apples is their bait. It works every ducking time. The armadillos ? What the hell

Also I’d rather not resort to Amarillo prevention via terror. But. My garden man.

Advice ?
