I need to surrender my sister’s cats

My older sister passed away about a month ago and I am due to move to another apartment (she was gracious enough to let me live with her). I am not in a position where I can take her cats with me, as I cannot pay either the pet deposit (only half of which is refundable) or otherwise afford to take care of the cats.

I have called the Humane Society and SPCA checked out some other shelters in the surrounding area, only to find that they are either not taking surrenders at this time, or have no mechanism online to do so.

Any help with regards to this would be much appreciated.
