I moved to the Galleria area, I really like it so far, but …

I’ve heard nothing but horrible things about the crime in this area. I do live in a high end apartment with gated secured parking and the whole building is key fob access with concierge staying at the front.

I really like this area, there’s a lot of stores and businesses nearby and I like the Galleria mall. A lot of people state how unsafe this area is, particularly the locals which is why I’m taking this seriously.

Mind you, I treat the area like any inner city. Don’t walk outside after dark, I don’t go anywhere outside without my husband, don’t leave anything in your pockets to get pickpocketed, don’t leave anything visible in your car, etc.

Locals of the Galleria area, is this area really as bad as they say?
