I know there’s no excuse for Hopkins being traded but here’s my silver lining take.

Our king Deshaun gets sacked A LOT. And it’s not the O line as much anymore. My reasoning behind that is that I believe that Deshaun was always waiting for Hopkins route to develop, Hopkins is not fast by NFL receiver standards. He basically ran a 4.6 and it takes time for his routes to develop. If you notice when Watson was targeting Kenny or Will (both ran 4.3 40’s) he was almost never under pressure because they’re burners. Add Randall Cobb to the mix along with two of the best receiving backs in the league (if David can return to his former self) I believe that our offense will become even more potent and efficient. It’s still f**k BOB but there’s always a silver lining and this is the one I’m going to go with.
