I know it’s just the Jags but…

I have been reading a lot of post and people just want to celebrate the win and are making jokes that were are SB bound, and people coming in and saying it’s just the Jags. Can we just reflect what this off-season was?

• A top 5 QB asks for a trade and does not want to play for us after signing the 2nd largest contract in the NFL.

• We hired a first time head coach to turn around a ship that even some of the most experienced coaches would struggle with.

• One of the best players in franchise history leaves us for a team that currently has one of the best receivers in our teams history, but also will be in the Top 10 of all time conversion when he retires, of which we did not get his proper value.

• We hire a GM people are unsure how much power he had in New England since all decisions go through BB.

• We had no 1st or 2nd round picks.

• We sign 100 free agents to 1 year prove it deals with no clear stand outs.

• We are told we will be the first 0-17 team in league history.

• We are betting underdogs in EVERY SINGLE GAME this year.

• We sign 3 RBs and retain all of them and cut a WR who some could argue has more upside.

• Our QB is accused of 23 separate sexual misconduct incidents. With now 10 (according to CBS on game day) criminal complaints.

• We are bombarded with trade possibilities and just dealing with that ALL the time.

• Fans quitting the team over how the front office is running the team.

After all of that. I do not give a s**t that it is just the Jags. After that offseason that might be one of my favorite wins. That was the team, from the front office to the water boy, saying we are here for ourselves and the fans. They have shut out the doubters and the noise and played their game. Let’s just enjoy the fact we won and had a moment that showed us why we love this team.
