I know everyone says they’re hiring but is anyone actually hiring entry level?

I know of 4 different people currently looking out in Katy. 3 18yr olds and one in his 30's. No criminal history and good credit but they can't even seem to get interviews. The kids are all good kids trying to start anywhere at all and the older guy has a solid history and is a hard worker

They are applying at grocery stores big box stores, fast food, warehouses, basically anywhere with a sign out front but no one gets interviews. One kid did get hired on at Burlington but he was given one 4hr shift in two weeks. It's weird. It seems like everyone is desperate for workers and hiring immediately but no one seems to be offering actual employment.

Does anyone have any good leads for jobs? Any help would be appreciated.
