I have 2 days in Houston by myself… what should I get up to?

I’m travelling to the US for the first time (from London) and am spending an April weekend in College Station (to take part in the World Shakuhachi Festival for anyone that’s curious! Shakuhachi is a bamboo flute from Japan – niche I know)

I have a day each in Houston either side of this weekend and have absolutely no idea what to do, but have designated that time because I want to check out a bit of the USA while I have the opportunity! I’m interested in music, art, food (veggie), nature, history. Whatever there is that you think is worth seeing/getting stuck in to!

Any tips or recommendations? I could spend one of the days in College Station but thought I wouldn’t unless there’s something nice and chill to do there after a big flight! But I realise it’s mostly a university town and I’m not very interested in the George W Bush museum lol.
