I had dinner in a Courtyard by Marriott, and I liked it.

A friend told me about a high-end dim sum spot in the Courtyard by Marriott – West University. We were a couple of drinks in at the time. I assumed it was a joke. I filed the information away in my "likely apocryphal trivia" file. But a few days later, curiosity got the better of me, and I turned to Google. Lo and behold – there is, in fact, a high end dim sum spot called Silk Road in the West U Courtyard.

And I'm happy to report that it's pretty good. We liked everything we ordered.

A little pricey? Yes. A little weird to be in the lobby of a Courtyard? Yes. Service maybe a tad bit bumpy? Yes. But I'll be back. Because the food was good, and overall, we enjoyed the experience. Definitely worth a try.
