I feel like there is a weird virus going around in Houston.

I have two kids that have had a fever since Halloween. Just a high fever. No cough. The fevers go to about 104.3, 102.4, 101.9…. Took them to the pediatrician. Total work up has been done to rule out respiratory issues, flu, COVID, strep, Mono, and they don’t think it is meningitis. I too now have this same fever. I will be fine and then BAM my temp goes up. I get a headache and chills. Once I take Tylenol or Ibuprofen every goes back to normal. We are eating and drinking okay. No bowel issues. Activity level is normal until fever hits.

Is there anyone experiencing this? My doctor and the pediatrician are both saying it is a virus but they have no clue what it could be. It is making the kids and pretty miserable.

I’m wondering if anyone else in this city is experiencing this.
