I feel like people are undervaluing Sunday’s game

First, I do think it’s good to keep our people healthy, I know Stroud and Collin’s just got back and it’d be greatly beneficial for them to sit this game out but there are just more factors than people consider. Please note, I’m not suggesting we bench them or we don’t 😭 I’m just saying there’s factors that should also be considered.

However, if we look at the impact of losing vs winning this game, there are quite the implications.

For draft picks, we own the Brown’s draft pick (via Watson) with our own out. As it stands, they’re at the 26th overall, with the Chiefs at 25th. I have no doubt the Chiefs win and another 8-6 team wins. If we win, the Browns drop at least two, meaning we move two draft pics up.

For playoff implications, if we win this game, we have a 71% chance to make it AND we control our own destiny. If we lose, this drops drastically to 32%, where even if we win out, we may not even make the playoffs.

Honestly, I don’t even know if all that’s worth a possible further injury to Stroud and Collin’s, but the main point was to say that the stakes this game against the Browns has have been quite undervalued in the decision making since people just threw around idea of benching them and these were my thoughts as I went to bed.
